Yeah - I'm with Beth too - the angle with the pointy tips of the gate pointing down at me makes me think - Off With Her Head!
Thanks everyone! Yes this is an official Medieval castle, looking every bit the part. Many more pictures of the castle coming up, but none taken in an inside room (they wouldn't allow...old communists still in charge!). Plenty of pictures taken within the walls, however. I wouldn't stand too long under those spikes either...the Teutonic Knights were an unkind bunch of fellows!

Oh castles! And you got to go inside - how fun. Looking forward to more castle pics!
