Wordless Wednesday

This is another lighthouse we found in the panhandle last fall, called Crooked River. It is actually located a handful of miles down the road from Eastpoint FL It is still in the process of being refurbished, along with its surrounding buildings. It did have a huge playground that looked like a pirate ship, which the kids loved.

That would fit into the 'ugly' lighthouse category, along with these two.

Which is not to say that they are not lovely, in their own way.

I think I prefer your last pic, Sandy! This one isn't so bad but the last is better!!

Awwww, you guys don't love this one? I'd never seen the skeletal lighthouses before, but I found them fascinating, and like Caite said, in their own way very beautiful. Apparently the wind doesn't wreak as much havoc on these as the solid ones.

I have one more of these types in my pictures coming next week!

A completely different looking lighthouse! I like it.

I've never seen a lighthouse that looks like this one before. But, I don't get a chance to check out too many lighthouses where I live!
