So did you participate in a bit of imbibing last week with some of Craig's top red wines? Well, this week I've brought you his list of top white wines, which I find perfect for the hot summer days. He has pulled together a nice diverse list of chardonnays, sauvignon blancs and sparkling wines that won't break the bank. I have added one at the bottom of the list that is a favorite of mine...I couldn't resist.

I wish I knew more about wine. I rarely drink it because I only want a glass or two out of the bottle and then end up throwing the rest out.
THANK YOU!!!!!! I am familiar with a few of these but now I can have fun tasting and tracking down new to me wines. Yay!!!!!!
I must admit that I prefer white wines to red wines. But I would drink any wine right now:)
These are all new (and have all been written down); it is fun finding out about new stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Huge fan of the Caymus Conundrum. God, I have to stop reading here. I feel thirsty just thinking of all the options. A plug for some close to home wines in Virginia - love the Viognier from Barboursville Vineyard.
Since Napa is right in my backyard, I'll make a point to look for these wines when I head up there for Labor Day Weekend.
My fave chardonnay is from Cakebreads Winery, St. Helena/Napa Valley. (2006)
Kathy - Aaaahhhh! That breaks my heart...send it to me next time!
Beth - you are very welcome! I love whites and reds, but whites are really nice in the summer!
Andreea - I bet you would! Hang in there girl...wine is coming your way after the little one comes!
ds - Have fun chasing them down. I don't think there is a bad one in the bunch here!
Frances - oh Conundrum (and frankly, anything Caymus) is very good juice.
Matt - I believe Cakebread to be one of the finest Chards around, but not exactly easy on the pocketbook! Special occasions!
Conundrum - great wine! Thanks for another fun list!
I've told you before that I'm not a wine person, but I love ice wine!!!
Thanks again for another wine post!
Sandy - have you seen the movie Bottle Shock yet? It's a must see for wine-lovers.
Rhapsody - I think I've gotten half of my Facebook friends hooked on Conundrum!
Melody - Yes ice wine is great with dessert. You don't want too much, but is wonderful to sip!
Carrie - yes, we loved Bottle Shock! Not only is the premise incredible (US wines outscore a blind tasting against France? Woo hoo!) but I Love Alan Rickman. With a capital L.
My friend was hunting for a bottle of Cakebreads Chards down in LA. He found it at Pavilions, which is the "high-end" Vons, owned by Safeway, for $53. I'm with you that I would only think about opening a bottle of Cakebreads on special occasion. Recently I had this Australian white wine called Yellow Tail. It's great wine for under $10. I love it!
White wines cool i often use to drink wine i die for it..
