Not So Wordless Wednesday - Washington DC #1

The kids and I went on our second field trip to Washington D.C. last November in the same number of years.  I didn't figure this would be a problem...even if you visit the same places, there is always more to see than you could ever squeeze in with one visit.  We did stop at a museum we hadn't seen the first time called the "Newseum" and BY FAR it was our very favorite.  It was full of just about every newsworthy event...newspaper and magazines, pictures and memorabilia.

Here is a picture of a piece of the Berlin wall.

I've never been to the 'Newsuem'. Will be sure to get there next time - great photo!

Oh, I love the Newseum -- especially being a family of journalists! We always have a great time. I recognized this bit of the wall right away . . . very cool.

I thought I went there but I guess I didn't! Must go there next time!

I used to have an itty-bitty piece of the wall (actually paid a couple of bucks to chip off a remnant back in the 90s when I was in Berlin), but I think I got rid of it in one of our many moves.

Boo!

I remember being surprised to see how colorful it was, with all of the spray paint. I was expecting depressing plain grey concrete.

I'd like to go back to DC and see the lesser visited museums and sights. This looks really fun.

Oh I have to check this out! I have a friend living in D.C. right now and I have been planning a tentative visit for next year. This is going on the list.

This sounds so cool. Hubby has never been to DC and I've only been once. There is so much to see there!
