Wordless Wednesday

These two ducks came to visit us as a layover on their flight from one lake to the next. We are always happy to have company...frogs, racoons, rodents, stray cats and dogs, and snakes are always welcome too. One of our cats, Annie, can't decide if she wants to play with them or eat them.

That's a great photo, Sandy. The cat's indecision is so obvious!

I hope they don't leave any surprises in your pool. ;) This photo is a wonderful harbinger of summer. The kids at school are counting the days, and my son had his last day today. He's one happy camper!

That's terrific--I can almost see the cat licking her lips, and waiting, waiting...

After studying this picture, I see that your cat is practiced in the fine art of duplicity--while appearing to be content at the edge, she has her eyes directed on you. When the blonde isn't looking . . .heh, heh . . .And you have subliminally shaped the hose into a heart--the secret signal that we should all stay up for four hours and vote.

Great pic, Sandy!
The cat just wanted to jump into the pool, isn't it?!

Haha! You know guys, I should have mentioned this in my post, but this cat actually fell in the pool once (were there ducks in there too at that moment?). Luckily we were going in and out, getting ready to start grilling, and saw her. She was frantically paddling around trying to figure out how to get out. We coaxed her to the steps and she figured it out. You'd think she would have learned her lesson to stay away from the edge! (And for those of you that have been with me since Xmas, this is also the same cat that chewed the Xmas tree lights and electrified herself!) Damn cat.

Danette, I did not see that the hose was shaped like a heart! That's a sign for sure! Vote Adam!

Well, let's see, if she had chewed the Christmas lights while swimming in the pool she would have been more than electrified! She would have been electri-fried!

Cute pair of ducks! I wonder if they have a nest nearby?

So funny! Your cat sounds like my youngest son - if it can happen, it usually does!!!

Nice shot! I love wildlife in my yard. Well, ok maybe not the skunk who took up residency in the garage. Oh and then there was the summer the bear got into the garbage cans. Hummm.

Love the story -- except for the snakes. :)

I love to read, so I added you to my RSS feed. (I also like pictures on Wednesdays. They're a good read as well.)

I bet Annie followed them with her eyes the entire time ... how long did they stay in the pool (at least long enough for you to run for the camera!)
