A closer look at Bryggen, the oldest section of Bergen Norway. As I said last week, these old places look like they will all collapse with the next strong breeze. But in fact they are filled with wonderful shops and restaurants, and have stood for hundreds of years. The alleys between each building are narrow and crooked, and reminded me of Diagon Alley.

Not So Wordless Wednesday: Norway #5
A closer look at Bryggen, the oldest section of Bergen Norway. As I said last week, these old places look like they will all collapse with the next strong breeze. But in fact they are filled with wonderful shops and restaurants, and have stood for hundreds of years. The alleys between each building are narrow and crooked, and reminded me of Diagon Alley.

Beautiful! Looks so fun, like a D&D game come to life.
Very awesome! I love that look.
These pics are too cool! I love the way it looks like a little dollhouse town, and the way that everything is wooden! Thanks for sharing these!
That looks like a lovely place to explore!
I love how wide the sidewalk is - it just seems to scream community to me. What a lovely place.
I'd love to visit that place!
