Not So Wordless Wednesday: Norway #3

One portion of our journey through the fjords was on the Flam Railway, which opened in 1909 and is one of the steepest railway lines in the world.  The ride included twists and turns and tunnels, and inspired awe for all the men who built it over a hundred years ago in the worst of conditions.

Wow. We went on a train in Switzerland that had me in awe of the men who built it. I'm sure the news from Oslo really broke your heart after being in Norway.

I love the way you can see the mountains in the background. This looks to have been an amazing trip, just judging from the pictures!

Now that is something I would love to do - the train, the terrain, the landscape. Lucky woman!

Trains are by far my favorite form of transportation. You can't get lost, you get to enjoy the scenery, you don't have to be at the station 3 hours in advance for your trip, etc. I'll have to take this one when I make it to Norway.
