In your family, is there one particular movie that is quoted ALL THE TIME? The Bumbles want to know, and so do I. This week's theme is all about those highly quotable movies.
The Nawrots are into their movies, so you might expect that we quote a number of them in our home, but one stands out above the rest. I won't tell you which one it is...you have to figure it out. Just know that in reciting these lines, it is all about the accent.
"Mind if I sit down? I'm carrying quite a load here."
"So that was Mrs. Lundegaard on the floor in there. And I guess that was your accomplice in the wood chipper. And those three people in Brainerd. And for what? For a little bit of money. There's more to life than a little money, you know. Don't you know that? And here ya are, and it's a beautiful day. Well, I just don't understand it."
"Ah, hon, ya got Arby's all over me."
"I'm not sure I agree with you a hundred percent on your police work, there, Lou."
"Well, the little guy was kinda funny-lookin'."
"It's my deal here, see?"
"Go Bears!" (pronounced beers)

Awesome pick, Sandy! Chock-full of delicious quotes, doncha know!
I love this movie too. Actually, I like everything from the Coen brothers. As for my family, my brother and I are fond of quoting from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. And my nuclear family from The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai.
I love Go Bears!
We have way too many movies quotes in this house. My favorite is, "It's not a tumor!!" whenever someone says they have a headache.
well, of course FARGO!! I am nuts for Coen Bros.
I have never actually seen Fargo, but now you've got me curious!! Must put that one in the queue!
It is all about the accent!
I drive my family crazy because I quote Annie Hall all the time. I've never seen Fargo.
Fargo is a great movie! Love this pick :)
Loved the movie and loved the quotes that you have highlighted here.
NO ONE in my family quotes movies. I do sometimes, but it's usually from Pride & Prejudice or Kate & Leopold, so no one gets it. :( Oh, I also like to quote the cartoon, Anastasia.
Favorite quotes:
"Shelves in the closet. Happy thought indeed."
"Mr. 'DARCY', as he calls himself."
"She will be in NO ONE'S way in that part of the house."
"Men are such babies."
"Stress. It's a killer, sir."
"In a life as stagnant as mine, that I can amuse myself at all is an evolutionary marvel."
"Marriage is the promise of eternal love. As a man of honor I cannot promise eternally what I've never felt momentarily."
Rabid Coen brothers fan here. Loved this movie, especially Frances McDormand. Great quotes!
So... which one is it, Sandy? I'm dying to know. LOL
"My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father prepare to die"
The Princess Bride - it is our all time family favorite, even though we are all adults now. It has something for everyone.
Excellent choice. I could totally hear her in my head as I read these!! I totally loved this film but haven't thought of it in years.
Hilarious! I didn't appreciate Fargo the first time I watched it, but it grew on me the second time around.
oh my...the woodchipper!
