The Memorable Memoir Reading Challenge was an impulsive, last-minute addition to my 2010 challenge list, but it was the first to be completed! Here are the books I read that qualified for this challenge:
What I Talk About When I Talk About Running - Haruki Murakami
The Liar's Club - Mary Karr
Open - Andre Agassi
Home is Where the Wine Is - Laurie Perry
I found all of these memoirs to be enjoyable, even though I never really thought this was my genre. In fact, I'm sure I will continue to pick up memoirs throughout the year, wherever I can squeeze them in. I particularly would like to read Mary Karr's other two novels, Cherry and Lit. Do you have any other recommendations?

Yay! One down...umpteen to go!!! ;)
Go Sandy!
You go girl! I wasn't even thinking about counting HOME IS WHERE THE WINE IS as a memoir for this challenge. You made my morning.
Way to go! I'm very impressed with you!
Congratulations! I also am due to get Home is Where The Wine Is, but I'm not in the challenge.
Holy Moly - you are way ahead of the game! Not really a memoir but it reads like one - The Private Papers of Eastern Jewel is based on a real person but fictionalized.
Woo hoo!!!!!
Congrats! I am about to fail my winter reading challenge.
Congrats on completing a challenge. Right now I'm so disorganized from vacation, I can't even remember what challenges I'm participating in!
Good for You!!
Congrats, Sandy! Way to go!
I'm so impressed!
Congratulations on finishing a challenge! I am very impressed you have finished one so early in the year!
Congrats! I have a friend who loves memoirs. I do like to read them sometimes, and she always lends me good ones!!
Congrats! You finished this one early.

Well, have your read Augusten Burrough's books? They are interesting and weird and often funny but disturbing too.
And you read "The Glass Castle" right? Must read!
How about "Memoirs of a Beautiful Boy" by Robert Leleux. About a gay son growing up with his wacky mom (is there any other kind in memoirs?)
But perhaps the SINGLE BEST ONE I can recommend to you is "A Girl Called Zippy" by Haven Kimmel. Charming, funny, real ... about life in small town in the Midwest. One of my all-time favorite books. Trust me on this one.
Yay! Congrats on finishing! I'm highlighting some finishers on my Sunday Salon post this week (still in progress writing), so I'm glad to see this post.
Hmm, I don't normally read memoirs, but I will give them a try in the future! Congrats on completing the challenge!
Yay! Congrats on completing this challenge!
Way to go, Sandy!
I agree with Jenners - though I haven't heard of the Zippy title - going to add that to my list right now. Here are a handful of my favorites that she didn't already name:
"The Color of Water"
"All Over But The Shoutin'"
"Wait 'Till Next Year"
Wow! I'm seriously impressed!
Telling by Marion Winik
This Boy's Life by Tobias Wolff
Congrats on finishing up the challenge. And you had some great books.
Congrats! I barely have any books read this year, let alone challenges completed. :)
