You should read Fatal Vision by McGinnis too. It gives some great background on the case and between the two you can make your own mind up about what really happened.Kathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01739982274914536036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4124681312732868654.post-13698632377809881392012-10-23T12:03:33.782-04:002012-10-23T12:03:33.782-04:00Joe McGinnis has absolutely no credibility as a no...Joe McGinnis has absolutely no credibility as a non-fiction writer. Imagine the guy has the nerve to makeup his own unproven answer for why MacDonald was guilty. He ignored the real story and went along with the prosecution line that was corrupt in suppressing evidence that would have proved MacDonald's innocence all so he could sell more books.Dannynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4124681312732868654.post-59199943196213241222012-10-01T10:03:54.555-04:002012-10-01T10:03:54.555-04:00Before you have an opinion on his guilt or innocen...Before you have an opinion on his guilt or innocense, read FATAL VISION by Joe McGinnis. McDonald convinced McGinnis to write this book, and McGinnis began assuming he was innocent, which is what McDonald wanted. But McGinnis attended his first (and I think a second) trial, and changed his mind.

I also read FATAL JUSTICE, another book on this case, which McDonald also got a couple people to write later. It's an interesting reinvestigation of the case, and this time the writers stick to the assumption that McDonald got a raw deal.

Now here we go again. I wonder whether McDonald has a hand in this one, too. Probably.

My opinion is up in the air. I don't know.techeditorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01713987832589573174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4124681312732868654.post-61425992137408702782012-09-29T08:28:39.007-04:002012-09-29T08:28:39.007-04:00Seems like you are getting spammed a lot! Even I heard of it. I read the Fatal Vision book, which was huge back in the day. I think it was a miniseries too. It would be interesting to read both of these books together and try and figure out the "real" story.Jennershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08044537551139633301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4124681312732868654.post-66914741872955365252012-09-28T14:23:45.301-04:002012-09-28T14:23:45.301-04:00I understand your desire for pictures - I love whe...I understand your desire for pictures - I love when non-fiction books include actual images (though nothing gory please!).

Thanks for being on the tour.Heather J. @ TLC Book Tourshttp://tlcbooktours.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4124681312732868654.post-52545593810119147442012-09-28T10:03:15.278-04:002012-09-28T10:03:15.278-04:00Great blog!
